Le Cirque Rouge is Minneapolis’ Original & Best Loved Burlesque & Cabaret troupe. They perform a wonderful variety of songs, skits, and dance numbers based on old time burlesque and vaudeville. Le Cirque Rouge was founded in August 2003, by Amy Buchanan, and has put on a weekly show since it’s opening night featuring classic striptease, world-class singers and musicians, actors and comedians. This current cast has been together for 3 years and as a result; know how to put on One of the best shows you've ever seen!!
Bassist James Buckley, always on the cusp of current music, performs extensively with some of the most notable artists in the midwest. Finally he strikes out on his own as a leader with the release of "Stitches". Accompanied in a trio setting by pianist Bryan Nichols and drummer J.T. Bates, James displays his considerable chops as both player and composer. This debut is a shining document of a seasoned jazz musician taking his musical life to another level. James currently leads popular midwest bands such as Dubsack, Mystery Palace, Midwestern Standard Time, and formally co-led experimental Minneapolis band, Poor Line Condition.
