Beyond House: Examining Electronica
A NIGHT OF ELECTRONIC FUN & GAMES
Music by Keston and Westdal featuring Graham O'Brien, Primadonahue, Cepia, and Kyle Herskovitz
Saturday, March 29
8-11pm

THANK YOU to everyone in attendance for making this a great night!

ABOUT THE BANDS

Keston and Westdal are composers and producers, as well as accomplished musicians and performers. With Keston's background in jazz piano and Westdal's bass brilliance, this duo has been consistently producing and performing exceptional original work since 2000. They will be joined by drummer Graham O'Brien.

Michael Donahue, the man behind Primadonahue, had performed in numerous bands over the years before discovering that only machines can tolerate his temperament.  "Unique and creative barely scratches the surface of a performance that includes homemade 'art guitars' and electric kazoo." - Star Tribune, June 24, 2007

Cepia is the sound of industry meeting with the vague memories that rest somewhere in the back of everyone’s mind.  Huntley Miller, a radio archivist and the man behind Cepia, fuses all the most affecting elements of pop, rock, and jazz composition – polyrhythms, countermelodies, calculated structures, and melodic hooks – into a cohesive electronic whole.

*As always, students with valid ID get in for only $5 at the MMAA.  Student tickets available at the door until the event is sold out.
