Salsabrosa was formed in January of 2005 and is composed of musicians from Cuba, Honduras and the USA with many years of musical experience in various genres.
Playing the music with the passion that it deserves, Salsabrosa is carrying the torch for Beny Moré, Tito Puente, Héctor Lavoe, Celia Cruz and all of the other great salseros!
Ticket to Brasil is a bossa nova, samba and Brazilian jazz projectbased in Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota. Founded in 1999 by classical and contemporary jazz guitarist, percussionist and composer, Pavel Jany, this unique and well established ensemble has performed at a number of local and international events, including: The Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Hot Summer Jazz Festival, MN Orchestra Music Fest, Sioux Falls Jazz Festival, Grand Marais Jazz Festival, Ordway World Stage Festival, Bloomington Latin Music Festival,MN Winter Jazz Festival, and more.
The group has opened for such renowned artists as Karrin Allyson and Cibelle.Ticket To Brasil continues to be featured on local radio stations Jazz 88 KBEM and KFAI Radio, on the international station Africa #1 based in Paris, and on a number of independent radio stations in Europe. The ensemble has performed live on MN Public Radio, and has made several appearances on the Twin Cities Public Television.
