Internships
DEVELOPMENT AND MEMBERSHIP INTERN
This internship position provides support to the Director of Development of the Minnesota Museum of American Art (MMAA). As the MMAA does not currently operate a permanent gallery space, all exhibitions and events take place “on the road.”
Interns with an interest in development and membership programs will gain firsthand experience working in a professional museum atmosphere, receive valuable knowledge of the nonprofit arts and cultural sector, and be directly involved in projects useful for resume building. Interns work intimately with staff members and are encouraged to work to their strengths. They often gain valuable insights into their own interests and abilities, as well as professional references for excellent performance. In-turn, individuals will provide the MMAA with assistance in running an ambitious museum based arts program during this exciting time of growth.
Timeline and Commitment
Flexible hours, but we would like a three-month commitment to start, continuing on as desired. Minimum of 8-10 hours/week. This internship is unpaid.
